Social services arranged for her to go into a care home. She was not happy in the care home and wanted to come home. After a lot of searching I found the company Safehands. Our friend owns her own house and has always lived on her own. Since July 2020 she has had a live in carer who has become a friend and companion. The care costs no more than the care home she was in. She has 1 – 1 care 24/7 365 days a year. She is happy and content in her own home. Would definitely recommend Safehands.

Having tried three different care agencies before finding Safehands – I would easily say it’s the best live-in care we’ve had for my elderly mother. The carers are hardworking, honest, respectful, tolerant and they really take good care of my mother. Her nutritional needs are met with good food and the house kept clean and organised. commons questions about live-in care
Live in care or 24 hour care at home is when a professional carer or companion moves into your house to care for your or your loved ones 24/7, helping your with personal care and daily support. Carer will live in for a two to three weeks before taking two or three weeks off. A live-in carer wil encourage independent.
A caregiver or live-in carer moves into the service user’s house, where he or she will have a private room. Every client and their care package is different, but normally the carer works three hours in the morning, three hours in the afternoon, and four hours in the evening, averaging nine to ten hours a day. During the other times, the carer will need to be on standby to assist the client if needed. Caregivers will also have a two-hour break each day and are expected to rest during the night.
Live in care cost is dependent on the amount of care services required and number of carers required. A rough guide would be in the range of £850.00 to £1200.00 per week. For more details, please refer to our out care Cost page

All staff are trained and vetted to at least the minimum national standards as mandated by Care quality commission. We also provide ongoing training courses to ensure staff are always update to be able to deliver expected level of care.
All Safehands Carers uses an app which provide real time information to our offices. We are able to see everyone carers’ notes as they are working.

Your main caregiver will normal stay for three to four weeks before they take a b long as you wish or require – you can come to an agreement with your carer. If you decide to have a new carer before the agreed time expiries, please call our office and we will be glad to offer assistance. Office hours are weekdays, 9:00 a.m., to 5:00 p.m. We also offer a 24/7 emergency hotline.
