How Is Live In Care Different?

There are many reasons families might choose Scotland live in care including:

Clients Currently Receiving Hourly Visiting Care
For many, hourly home care is quite common as they get older and need more assistance throughout the day. This can be an expensive option to residential home care and live in care services, even though the level of care is not nearly the same. With 24-hour live in care Scotland, you get a live in carer who is there 24/7 to meet your needs and ensure a higher quality of life.
With Safehands Live In Care, you get one-to-one care, a personalised care plan designed around your needs and two carers who rotate on a weekly basis. This provides continuity of care and a more sustainable client/carer relationship.
IN Home Care for Couples
Couples who choose residential home care often end up paying much more than they would if they had chosen live in care in Scotland. This is due to the fact that most residential care homes require couples to pay for separate beds which can double their costs instantly. With Safehands Live In Care, couples can save money and enjoy the comfort and familiarity of their own home.
Scotland Hospital to home care
One of the main requirements of hospital discharge for an elderly person is that they have the proper level of in home care. Choosing Safehands Live In Care ensures that they will receive the care and assistance they need to recover and live a healthier, happier life outside of the hospital.
Another advantage to choosing Safehands Live In Care is that a member of our local management team will work laterally with the hospital discharge team, ward manager, nurses, doctors and specialists to ensure a higher standard of care.
Specialist Care Needs
Those with complex care requirements such as patients suffering from dementia or Parkinson’s, often need specialist medication support. They can get the care and support they need through full-time live in care in Scotland without having to move into an institutional care home or nursing home.
Elderly Falls Prevention
More elderly patients are admitted to the hospital as a result of a slip or fall than any other medical concern. With such a high rate of fall-related admissions, it is important that they receive live in care from a trained carer who can be there to assist them with their daily activities. Families can be confident in knowing that help is available in the instance of a fall or other emergency. A professionally trained live in carer in Scotland can provide the urgent medical care your loved one needs, when they need it.
