Are you thinking about hiring a live-in caregiver?

There are a variety of scenarios, conditions, and events when live-in care might help you overcome obstacles you may encounter in the future:

Long-term effects

Parkinson’s disease, for example, needs constant monitoring. Our Care Pros are trained to notice changes in a client’s health, well-being, or behavior and are prepared to intervene if there is any reason to be concerned.

Care for people with dementia

Living at home allows you to stay in familiar surroundings and keep your regular habits, which may not be possible at a residential facility. House care is ideal for someone living with dementia, as it allows them to maintain their routine in the home they have learned to love.

Losing a spouse

It takes time to adjust to the death of a partner, not just emotionally but also practically. A caregiver can be a much-needed companion and fill in for a recently lost support position.

Frailty

For many people, growing older means losing the ability to accomplish even the most basic tasks, such as lifting the kettle to make a cup of tea. Someone frail can benefit from live-in care to retain their freedom and quality of life.

Unexpected sickness and events

Whether it’s a fall or an unexpected illness, your loved one may be vulnerable to situations that require immediate attention. Professional assistance will alleviate you and your family of the stress.

Locating the ideal live-in caregiver for you

Your life may return to normal with the help of a well-selected caregiver. The main difference now is that you have specialised round-the-clock support to help you do it.

At first, the prospect of welcoming a new person into your house and life may seem overwhelming. However, we will accompany you through every stage of the process and place a high value on pairing you with someone you feel most at ease and familiar with your habits, likes, and hobbies.

It’s possible that you would like:

  • A pet sitter who is at ease with your animals.

I arranged a live in carer for my 95 year old friend. Easter 2020 my friend was taken ill and had to go into hospital. It became apparent that she could no longer look after herself. Social services arranged for her to go into a care home. She was not happy in the care home and wanted to come home. After a lot of searching I found the company Safehands. Our friend owns her own house and has always lived on her own. Since July 2020 she has had a live in carer who has become a friend and companion. The care costs no more than the care home she was in. She has 1 – 1 care 24/7 365 days a year. She is happy and content in her own home. Would definitely recommend Safehands.

Safehands carers and support staff have enabled my father to live well during the development of his dementia for over five years. The carers have lived beside him, considering and understanding not only his health needs but his overall wellbeing. They have been dedicated, kind, compassionate, intelligent and skilled in their care. They have enabled my father to find happiness in his challenges. Exceptional, committed carers, reassuring all the family before and during this difficult time. Thank you Safehands.

Having tried three different care agencies before finding Safehands – I would easily say it’s the best live-in care we’ve had for my elderly mother. The carers are hardworking, honest, respectful, tolerant and they really take good care of my mother. Her nutritional needs are met with good food and the house kept clean and organised. I could not recommend this agency and their staff any more highly! Five star!
